Long time, no talk...

I know it's been a while. I've had so much going on in my life. None bad, all good.. but still a lot. I have much to update you guys on and many products to review. I deleted my past Youtube videos and will be starting fresh. I'm hoping to have one up by Tuesday evening. What do you guys think for my first video back; review, haul or tutorial?

This past week I started to run out of my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. I got really frustrated about it considering the $20 that I'd be spending that... well, I kind of need with bills to pay and all.

I remembered that my local Target store carries E.L.F. products and that E.L.F. makes a ONE DOLLAR Eyelid Primer! So I took my butt down to Target to check it out. THANK GOD, they had what I was looking for.

So let's just get down to it, okay? Let me just say that you can save yourself the $19.00 and take yourself down to your local Target store or online to eyeslipsface.com and purchase this primer. It works JUST THE SAME (if not better, really). I've used it three times since purchasing and my eyeshadow stayed on all day with no creasing. I was amazed.

They carry this product in 4 different colors: Sheer, Champagne, Pearl and Golden (sort of like Urban Decay). They also have another eye primer in their Studio Line which is actually called "Eyeshadow Primer" as opposed to this one "Eyelid Primer", not really sure what the difference is. But please, check it out. I'm positive that you will not be sorry.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion SALEEEEE

Ladies, you know how we all love our UD Primer Potion. I love Original and Eden, only because I'm not a big shimmer type of girl unless it's NYE or my birthday. But ANYWHO... regardless of your favorite Primer Potion or if you love them all, here is an awesome sale that UD is having on their set of mini's. The original price is $29.00 for all 4 and right now you can get them for $19.00, what a steal. We just missed their sale on the full size "vintage" (they call it vintage because they have a new tube packaging instead of bottle, I believe) bottles of Primer Potion for $9.00, sorry girls but don't miss this one. Enjoy your day. Do pretty things.

Beauty Blender dupe

So I took a little trip down to Ulta yesterday planning to renew my membership and take a look at some new product. I ended up leaving with the FAUX Beauty Blender sponge that Ulta makes. It is a pink-ish-orange sponge (shaped like the Sonia Kashuk verion).

First thing that I noticed, it came wrapped in a plastic bag. I didn't really like this, mostly because I'm probably used to the idea of the actual Beauty Blender and Sonia Kashuk's dupe being in a nice plastic container type of packaging. Second thing that I noticed, after dampening my sponge and applying my foundation (by stippling it onto my face NOT rubbing... do not rub with a sponge, ladies or gentlemen) was that this sponge had a horrible plastic smell that gave me a huge headache for the rest of the day. Maybe this was my bad for not washing it before the first use, but it was BAD. Other than the smell and the baggy packaging, I wasn't CRAZY about the application. It just didn't give me the awesome coverage that I was expecting but hey, it was only $4.99.

One thing that I did love about this product was the shape and how easy it was to grip while applying my foundation. Other than that I honestly can't say that I was too crazy about the sponge. Apparently a ton of girls loved the Ulta knock off Beauty Blender, but I'm sorry, I'm just not one of them.

I'm going to take a trip down to Target this weekend to pick up Sonia Kashuk's blending sponge and some ELF products and I will let you guys know how that goes. :)

For now here is a picture of the Ulta "Basically U" blending sponge:

(my sponge next to a Nars lipstick, to compare in size)

First time for everything.

Horrible picture, but hey... I got a tattoo. My first. And, as much as I'd hate to admit it, I think I'm going to be addicted. Don't worry it won't get out of control and you won't see me with knuckle tatt's or anything too too crazy. Shall be fun though. :) (this is actually a really old post from back in Sept of 2011, but I just noticed that it was a draft. btw, don't mind my very swollen foot, this was just moments after being tattooed.)
